Archives of Historic Takoma Park, Maryland and the Takoma Neighborhood of the District of Columbia

Past Perfect Museum Image The Archives of Takoma Park, Maryland and the adjoining District of Coumbia neighborhood of Takoma contains print and non-print resources about this once vacation community that abuts the Nation's Capitol. Developed by Benjamin Gilbert in 1883.  Today Takoma is home to over 18,500 residents and is a community reflecting fine examples of typical architectural styles of its 120 year history.  The archives is attempting to capture information about those who once lived in the community, their homes, and cultural and news-worthy events through time.
