Update on HTI Building at 7328 Carroll Avenue

HTI Building
Historic Takoma is currently working with the Montgomery County Department of Permitting Services on obtaining an occupancy permit for use of our headquarters building at 7328 Carroll Avenue. We hope to obtain a permit before the end of this year.

We are awaiting receipt of our Community Legacies grant of $75,000 to begin construction on a handicap-accessible bathroom and small kitchenette. Finally, funds raised from this year’s House and Garden Tour will be dedicated to the purchase of shelving and furniture. We are extremely grateful to our members, to sponsors and donors of our House and Garden Tour, and to all of our funding agencies for making this community project an ever-increasing reality.

Historic Takoma was pleased to have hosted the recent crate label art of Jim Colwell and Alison Baker in our front window as part of Art Hop 2010.
