Federal low income tax credit programs to create affordable housing.
Traffic Reduction
- According to the US Environmental
Protection Administration, the Maryland historic preservation tax credit
program has already reduced personal and employment related travel by
16.38 million miles per year, and eliminated the release of 337.4
tons of air pollutants per year in Baltimore alone.

- There are over 3,400 historic
properties in Montgomery County. Montgomery County communities need
the preservation tax credit program.
