What is the Takoma Park Boundary Stone?

  • Historic Preservation  The Historic Preservation Committees are actively working in the Maryland and DC parts of Takoma to promote and protect the historical and cultural resources of Takoma Park through education and advocacy.

  • HTI Archives  The Archives is a searchable repository for a vast array of information about Takoma Park available to the public and to professional historians.

  • Thomas-Siegler House & Garden  The former carriage house and garden for the oldest home in Takoma Park MD is maintained by Historic Takoma for exhibits and recreation.

  • Oral History  Historic Takoma is creating permanent records of the tales of Takoma that some life long residents can tell.

  • Education & Outreach  Walking tours, children's books, slide shows, and more.  The education programs bring past and present Takoma together.

  • House & Garden Tour  Every year another Takoma neighborhood opens its homes to the community.  Victorian to modern homes and everything in-between.

  • Newsletter  Our quarterly newsletter contains a wealth of information about Historic Takoma activities and stories about what Takoma was over the last century.

  • Website Development  Historic Takoma does so much that it's a huge chore getting it onto the web.  Slide shows, tour books, stories and more to come.
